What is temporary total disability?
Answer:
Temporary total disability is very close to temporary partial disability, except that you’re owed temporary total disability if you’re unable to work during the recovery period after your injury. For example, if you injured your back and had to have surgery, while you are recuperating after your surgery, you are paid temporary total disability because you are not able to work at all. Once the doctor releases you, you no longer receive temporary total disability, but you might be entitled to some amount of permanent disability benefit.
